I would suggest that a 2'x8' paver only 2" thick is not likely to
last
long without cracking unless you have an outstanding foundation and
very light traffic.


I would not refer to a 2'x4' or larger concrete slab as a "paver".
He might as well just cast his walkway in place.
Just moving such a piece of concrete,rebar or none,is liable to crack it.
