Very useful rule of thumb!

Just checked it - comes out at 2260Kg m^3, so sounds about right for
concrete.

That's not too far away. I work on 2360kg/m3 for plain dense concrete
and 2400kg/m3 for reinforced concrete. And I'm a structural engineer,
so I must know what I'm talking about !
