I wish I could convince my parents to equip the basement, so far the wood
lathe has not gone over well at all, metalworking content: me trying to
harden the damn carbon steel rod that I payed 16$ for, and finding a way to
attach the tool rest(train track) to a bench. A go kart would not last very
long here, the police are right now handing out 109$ tickets for riding on
the sidewalks with bikes, or riding no helmet.
While each boy
- now 24 and 20 - has built things in the shop, I don't think either has ever
done a major project entirely on his own. That's sad.
