I'd suggest getting input from some other instrument-makers regarding
the acoustical properties of GG. I suspect (but don't know for sure)
that this may be a more important issue than the strength of the
joint...
Some use GG and some use yellow carpenters glue. The pegboard doesn't
enter into the acoustical properties of the instrument. the strings
pass over nuts and bridges.
