Does anyone know of a chemical method of smoothing out the inside of a
toilet
trap? I have 3 almost identical toilets and most suffer from too small
opening
through the porcelain. Recently, one developed the ability to catch
toilet paper
and hold it in place. I am guessing the finish has gotten rough.
what kind of toilets are they?

They are American Standard, one piece,
elongated bowl, with a name
that started with "H". But it is not
any of the current models. These were
purchased about 8 - 10 years ago. The
oldest 2 were a different model
name .... the newest one (different
model name) it only slightly better than
the others. These are terrible products
and I'm glad to see they don't offer
them any more.

take a look at water level in tank, the earliest version of the water
savers dropped the water level a lot, but otherwise were regular
units.

on these you can increase the level of the water and improve things a
lot

Well, I am very close to the top of the
overflow tube already. I often
thought of lengthening it a little.
Maybe I'll try that ..... but then again,
I plan on selling, hopefully by the end
of the year. But it is a constant
irritation.
