Another idea is you can put the VCR in the trash, that will also keep it
from flashing 12:00. Or you can buy one of the VCRs made in the last 10/12
years that don't even have a clock that flashes 12:00, just a bunch of LEDs
for power/timer/record/ and stereo if it's a Hi-Fi model.
