Sheesh. Go to the hardware store. Ask for a road flare.

Take it home and go to the disposal. Pull the cap and scrape the top of the
flare with the rough tip of the cap. In a flash, you will have light.
Insert the big lighted thing into the disposal. Look around until your
eyesight fails.
