By "look smarter", are you thinking of the shape of wall plate needed?
You can get non-GFCI outlets shaped like that, and they cost a lot
less than GFCI ones. There's switches shaped like that too.

Also, I prefer white to ivory. The ivory plates look like they're
always dirty.
