That's true for a lot of things.

I'm in favor of one more law.
It should be that all politicians and their immediate families shall endure
the consequences of any new laws they write for a period of 10 years, even
when they are out of office, then at the end of the 10 year period they must
vote on whether said law(s) should be levied on the public at large.
I bet there'd be a whole lot less silly laws being written......
