In general, which of the following brands of power tools do you think are
best and which ones are worst? I realize some brands may make some things
better than others and worse than others and that no one brand necessarily
makes everything the best.
BLACK & DECKER
Junk, there should be a law.
BOSCH
Good stuff, some of their power cords are kinda wimpy, though. Their
1/2" hammer drill in particular. The drill itself is excellent, but
the power cord sucks.
CRAFTSMAN
They make good wrenches and hand tools. Easily replaced on a Sunday
afternoon.
DELTA
Their old woodworking tools always seemed to be highly regarded.
DeWALT
See Black and Decker, except add overpriced.
MAKITA
No comment.
MILWAUKEE
Hands down, the best and most dependable. You get what you pay for,
and you will pay.
RIDGID
Not bad, second choice.
RYOBI
Inexpensive, borderline junk, but worth considering since it doesn't
cost much to replace if (more like when) broken or (not so likely)
stolen.
SKIL
For the money, not bad stuff.
Thanks for your opinions.
Well, you know what they say about opinions.
