I thought they fixed that when they went to the flash-plated zinc
pseudo-pennies a few years back? Or has the dollar sagged so far, and/or

Yup, and the mint labor and shipping aren't inconsequential either. I
think the current "cost" to get a penny into circulation is about 1.4 cents.
