"It once was flakey where it would intermittantly work bout now it
simply does not work at all."
The lcd viewing panel flips open and shut. Sounds like a break in the
flexible pcb or connections to that area. Here's how you can confirm
that, set the cam to rec mode and open the lcd panel half way,
adjusting slowly between 1/4 and 3/4ths way open, until the "lense cap
on" alert goes away and u see a picture. Prolly a break in the CCDs
output signal path to LCD block.
