Your old system should have had inhibitor in it too - and I'm surprised
it's lasted that long without it. Or perhaps that's why you talk about rad
replacement - being made of steel they *will* corrode without inhibitor.

Since the requirement to drain down should be a rare occurrence it makes
sense just to add new inhibitor since that makes sure it's up to
strength. etc.





The old system has nothing in it except water ...Primatics cannot have
inhibitor added afaik... Would I be right in thinking that ?

As for rad replacement ..they would be getting replaced as ,altho'
serviceable,they look a bit old and I would like at least a couple of
them in "public" areas replaced for cosmetic reasons if nothing else .

What is involved in replacing them with the new boiler in place as the
new ones might not be the same size so some moving of the pipework
will be req'd. That's what I really wanted to know
