Cool picture, but only extra-spectacular because it's a long exposure - several
minutes, I'd say, from the look of the star trails. You wouldn't see the long
"brush" tail just looking at it.

Actually you can, if you go out where the sky is dark and there isn't
any light pollution. It doesn't look as bright as in that long exposure
obviously, but you can clearly make it out, in a similar shape to as
is visible in those photos.
