Thanks to all that responded to my earlier post which asked for ideas for
competition themes. I have combined all the replies and produced a list. I
post it for use by others if they wish.

‘Long and thin competition’. The winner is the one with the greatest height
to width ratio.

Thanksgiving: platters, plates, cups and saucers, goblets
Christmas: ornaments like angels or snowmen, trees or the balls with icicles

Dough rollers (rolling pins)
Turned Spheres: tennis ball size or smaller. (Competition on rolling from a
ramp,
straightest, closest to a target mark across the floor. Variations in wood
density can make a perfect sphere roll oddly.)
Miniature cowboy hats.
