When the doors were taken out it looks like the opening was merely finished
off with 1 x 4s or 1 x 6s and moldings. Just undo what was done by removing
the molding and finished surface, then either install a standard double door
(72 x 80) or add a stud wall and smaller standard-sized door (36 x 80).

Last year my parents removed their deck and had an extra room added to
their house. They had exterior french doors going out to the deck and
removed them and framed in the opening, leaving a finished opening 79"
high by 69" wide. Well the openness has worn off and now they want to put
some doors between the two rooms, preferably with glass. They say that
finding doors to fit this opening is impossible. Anybody have any ideas?
