I'm with you; however, let me suggest an alternative.

Learn to sharpen bits the old fashioned way.

Take an adult education course at a local school, find a machine shop
that will teach you how do it in exchange for a case of suds, etc.

It is a skill set similar to riding a bicycle.

Once you learn it, you don't forget it.
