There are a number of potentially issues. Safety being one. There are
also operational issues.

I would say most of the time there will be no noticeable difference.
The one really noticeable differences would be if there were a short and
the case became live. You may become not live.

Oh come on! The odds of dying from touching a computer with a short are
about the same as the odds of dying on the way to the Supermarket.
