ignitor worked for several years without a problem, up to and immediately

the power outage, and then failed immediately afterwards. Too much of a
coincidence.

The stove igniter is not active all the time. There is no power to it
unless you activate it. I don't see how power dropping out can affect it.
I think you lose.
