Solid soft zinc, not plated. You'll still find it (small sheets and
not cheap) around places dealing with fibreglass. Otherwise try
non-ferrous metal stockists, including the specialists in meshes. I
think even Relics in Witney carried it, after some housepr0n show made
a pie-safe with it.

Some electronics enclosures use steel or aluminium perforated in the
same fashion for electrical screening/ ventilation.

I seem to remember that, at least, in American English, it is called
"cane metal" but googling gives lots of results for magician's props!

Just a thought... dunno if you need zinc or whether ali or steel would
be OK.
