Hello All,

I have have a gas halstead combi boiler 30/90.

My water pressure went down to 0.3 bar and my boiler stopped working. I
got the water pressure back to 1.5bar, but now it will not ignite or
even spark. It is not the air fan switch. Could this be the
thermocouple or a overheat stat switch? If so how can I check this or
is there anything else it could be?

Thanking you all in advance,

Malcolm

Is there a cutout switch on it, the resettable sort? It may be hidden
underneath if there is one. I had an old boiler about 6 years ago that had
just such a switch, I think it was a reversible metal diaphragm that went
*plink* if there was a problem and it needed a hard push on the diaphragm
button to reset it back to its original curvature. Of course, this may
have
nothing to do with your problem!

The other thing to try is to 'reboot' your boiler by turning the
electricity
off for a few seconds then turning it back on again.

Only if he was bored and just wanted to watch the lights go off and on
again

I'm not familiar with the Halstead boiler, I take it it doesn't have a cut
down microprocessor in it like my Vaillant does? Certainly the first thing I
do if I have a problem is turn it off and on again, all the lockouts I've
had were cured by this.

Andy.
