I recently acquired an old one (model 500-421 CD-S6), and I'd like to ask:
does ANYONE know how to access/change the battery in one of these?

NO, it doesn't resemble the newer models, and it doesn't have an access
cover, screw-on case, or anything obvious. It's absolutely confounding.
