A 1" bit for coax???

The standard "installer's bit" for coax is 3/8" diameter. The
installer's bits are typically about 18" overall length and have a cross
drilled hole just a bit back from the tip.

In use you drill the hole through the item in question with the
installer's bit and leave the bit fully through the item. You go to the
other side and take the coax that you have stripped down to the center
conductor for a few inches and loop the center conductor through the
hole in the installer's bit and then wrap it together past the tip of
the bit. You then go back inside and pull the drill bit back, taking the
coax with it.
