You're right of course, but it occurs to me that 30 years ago when one went
to buy 3/4" plywood, it *was* 3/4" and your one 3/4" router bit would
usually suffice. If they could get together then (ok there were fewer
suppliers then), they could get together now if they wanted to ensire
consistency of size. It's the public's lack of sufficient response to this
great varience that's permitted all these off sizes.
