We don't often hear of bank safe deposit boxes being damaged by fire. The
problem is finding a bank that still offers them. Many don't.

I might suggest that an even better - safer method of protecting most
data is to make a copy of it and keep it off site. Best would be in
another city. A family member may be a good choice.
