What is the accepted(best?) way of orienting grain in an arch? Should
the grain run from the bottom corner to the center i.e

or should it run straight

Any rules of thumb ?

Strength isn't an issue, it's actually just a decorative piece that
will be the bow on a bed shaped like a boat, the arch will be made from
walnut with a floating panel of teak and holly inserted into it.
