Thanks for all the suggestions. I didn't know there were so many sub-types
of these fittings. I'll have a deeper look at the guides in the bulb shops
and try and work it out.


It is a recently built flat, so it may just be the Part L types. There is a
sticker on the fitting, which relates to safety BS standards rather than
'please fit bulb type xx'. I'll have a closer look and see if it says any
of the types suggested, though I think a G24 type is looking the closest so
far.

Hiya

We've just moved into a new flat and found this weird light fitting on the
ceiling. Can anyone identify it? We've had a look around the usual shops
with no joy and no obvious match. The only ones to look something similar
are GE hoop shaped bulbs, though they don't quite match the pin
configuration.
