I use a bench grinder. And then balance the blade on a nail. The end
which pulls down gets ground some more. When the blade hangs
horizontal, it goes back onto the mower.

I have been using a file for the last 10 years. It's cheap and
easy, but
I can only get the blade medium sharp with a file.


I put the blade in a vice and take the sander to it. IIRC, it is a
36 grit
belt. I sand away from the edge.
