Henderson mechanisms are the junk end of the market, I'd replace it
with something that works and will continue to work. Cant see much
point doing repair after repair.

Are you sure it doesn't want oiling? The spring has a lot of internal
friction. Also the roller track may be dry and the rollers knackered.
