Are these "2hp" DC motors surplus treadmill motors? If so, count on 3/4
hp. I have a couple that I plan to build controllers for or just run of
variacs (we'll see). Some tests I ran suggest that trying to get much
more than 3/4 hp out of them on a semi-continuous basis is likely to let
the smoke out.
