I have a weedeater gas trimmer, model BC2400, and was having problems

I presume you've looked at the weedeater website and searched on
google?

How old is this? I'd go to the store and look at simliar models.
Engines can go decades without changing much.

If that doesn't work, go to a repair shop and ask the guy. You can
judge from the kind of answer you get if he's the guy you want to take
your repairs to (when the time comes), although I don't know what the
proper standard would be for that. He might just tell you, and
you'd be done.

Sometimes I try to buy something after a store is nice to me, but
sometimes, I can only find something cheap and I wonder if I'm causing
them more trouble than the profit they make is worth. Some places
they're happy to get a "tip" for free info, but other parts of the
country, I'm not sure this is wanted or even liked. And then how
much? I'm still living in the 60's so it's hard for me to know what
is good. 2 or 3 dollars? For a 30 second to 2 minute answer? 3 or
4 if no one else knows?

Why not try it both ways or all 4 ways and see which one works. That
would be free!

You know the general idea, right? Air and gas go into the carburetor
and from there into the cylinder.

with the primer working. Tc make a long story short, the carb is clean
and when switching up the fuel lines I found that the bulb worked too.
My problem now is that I am not sure which fuel line went where. Is

Which one comes from the fuel tank? Where does the other one come
from?

the one with the filter to go to the primer bulb? Which stem on the
carb does the other fuel line go to? Is there a diagram or something I
can go by? Any info is a great help.
