Exactly right. Solder is a no-no for any high ampacity connection.

Oddly enough, on bolted (1,000A...20,000) busbar connections, tinned ends are
preferred. The solder, being softer than the copper, deforms and allows more
area to contact. It also reduces oxidation. 'Course, it's bad juju if there's
any SO2 in the atmosphere.
