Thanks for your advice. Yes I have the same feeling about electronics
stores. I am certainly a savvy electronics buyer and I have usually
done all my research beforehand. When I go to the store it is usually
a quick in-and-out trip for me (unless I am browsing for the heck of
it). I don't see why savvy DIY shoppers wouldn't be the same.

Corian and Silestone are very nice but very expensive. If the vanity
was a decent size I would not think twice before buying Corian. But at
25x19, there is hardly any space left to touch, feel and admire the
looks of the top. $500 seems like a waste for such a small size.

Thanks to everyone who posted I would most likely go with a cultured
marble top now.
