Keep in mind, it's not just "an ammonia system". The Servel cycle is a
delicately balanced system of partial pressures in a hydrogen atmosphere.
The average refrigeration technician - even trained in compressor-based
ammonia systems - wouldn't have a clue about how to recharge one.

Quite true. So repairing it is not in the cards. Replaceing it is.
Since the RV hasnt been moved in 6 yrs..and only runs on
110vt..replacing it with a single power source reefer makes sense
