I have a Wells Index model 745 with R8 spindle. Other than belt and
handle replacement it's been perfect. It's heavierand more rigid than
a comparable Series 1 Bridgeport and it does good work. Index mills
were/are made in USA and you can get parts and support from Wells
Index.
