Ok I have a Sharp CDC-3800 system, no speakers no remote (which I am going
to buy on ebay...the remote I mean) but I need to know what speakers will
work with this system besides the ones that came with it, which I do not
have. if anyone knows a compatible speaker, OR where to get the speakers
that come with it I would appreciate it. the stereo says its 100w so I
assume thats total output (50w per speaker/channel) plus also has a option
for a subwoofer. any info on THIS would be appreciated also! I do not have
the manual, if anyone can point me to one online or have one they can scan
you have just made my new year TIA

if you prefer you can email info to me at phuckhead *AT* gmail dot com

Are you sure the model # is CDC-3800? (Look on the back of the unit
for the accurate mod#, sometimes what's on the front of the box is
similar but not what's used for record keeping purposes.)
I did a search over at sharpusa.com and came up with zip.( on all
parts and variations of cdc-3800)

Here's a link to their mini-systems listings.

Could be what you have is no longer supported and will have to be
ordered by phone/e-mail.( most keep paper copies of their older
appliances on file and will send you a photo-copy for the cost of
postage.)
As for speakers that would work, I have a JVC mini-system very similar
in specs.( 100 watts with a separate set of outs for subs. It takes
8ohm mains and 12-16 ohm subs.)
You should be alright using 8ohm speakers with it. Any small bookshelf
2-3 ways will do.

Try over at sharp with the mod# on the back or perhaps a general sight
search with the serial # might find you your manual.
