You did say intelligible, rather than intelligent! I think this
scenario is pretty ridiculous.
Why did they come here? To turn the US into another Mexico? Why work
so hard,
when they could have just stayed home?

That whole ramble, of course, ignores a whole raft of points. First, of
course, is
that many hispanic-surnemed people in the SW US have NO connection to
Mexico,
whatever. They have connections to Brazil, Argentina, Chile, etc.
Second, many
of them (It almost has to be most of them, if they are already
approaching or exceeding
50% of the population) are NOT illegal immigrants from Mexico. Probably
for most
of them, if they have any connection to illegal immigration, it was a
grandparent or
even further back that was the first to come here.
