Default Clothes dryer noises

The nice thing about maytag is you can remove front panel (2 screws at
bottom) set door aside and actually turn on machine and listen for noise.
Don't touch anything! Or zap!

My Maytag clothes dryer is about 15 years old. Lately I have noticed
that although it still dries clothes normally, there is a noise that
sounds like something is rubbing in the motor. It is a hiigh pitched
noise. Any ideas what this is and is it something that can be fixed by
a homeowner with moderate fixit abilities
