Default In Santa's Shop

In Santa's shop the gifts are made
The wood is cut the elves are paid
The toys are wrapped the time is near
So Santa sits and pours a beer

He and his elves have worked so hard
The toys are in the shipping yard
Where Rudolph with his nose so bright
Will guide him through the snowy night

To towns and cities near and far
To villages without a bar
So Santa sat before he flew
And had a glass of Christmas brew

He isn't really Santa, no
You'd never hear him Ho, Ho, Ho
He's just a Dad inside his shop
Just finished with his current crop

Of toys and wonders made by hand
For little ones that form his clan
And bigger ones that he holds dear
So Santa sips his Christmas cheer

He contemplates the coming day
The wrappings instant disarray
The cries of wonder (and dismay)
And thinks all shall be right

His labors he thinks shall bring joy
To his one girl and his one boy
To his one wife ('tis only right)
He holds his glass up to the light

He isn't really Santa, no
You'd never hear him Ho, Ho, Ho
But all is calm and all is bright

Merry Christmas to all

And to all a good night
