Default Dremel TV ad.. I don't get it..

I wondered what the woman was cutting in one scene, so I paused it for
a closer look:

It's a crooked screw sticking about 1" out of a door hinge.. Instead
of removing the screw with a driver or vice-grips, she's cutting the
screw off flush with the hinge...

Unless I'm missing something, this is the dumbest tool use I;ve ever
seen.. Do the writers for this commercial even know how to use tools?

Locally, here in Las Vegas, we have an ad for a local casino that's under
construction. They obviously wanted to kill two birds with one stone, so
they had a lady welder who raises her hood to smile at the camera. She's
middle aged, and very round. She has a big toothy grin. Lots of hair. No
cap like a welder would wear.

Here's the thing -

She's got on a big bulky knit fuzzy sweater!

Crap. Hot dingleberries from welding would burn through that thing in a
nanosecond taking molten polyester with them straight to bare skin.

No, I don't think those guys ever use the tools they are pushing. Double
pity, because they lose sales, AND they are paying some dummy big bucks to
dream these things up!
