Default pressure washers

Using a larger GPM nozzle will lower output pressure. I just bought a
new 2700 PSI pressure washer and I can turn the output pressure way
down. It all depends on the pump. A better made unit will have an
adjustable pump output, but some of the cheap ones are fixed. Also
changing spring pressure on the regulator section will cause pressure
to increase or decrease. Simple fix is use a nozzle with a larger
orifice and spray pattern width.

x-Can the output pressure of the small 4-6 hp gas pressure washers be turned
x-down? For example could a 4hp 2000psi/2.0gpm karcher be turned down to
x-~1300psi? If not could the intake source be restricted to slow the flow? I
x-have a small electric 1300psi unit which is ideal for my application but the
x-gas one are not available in this size.
