Default Karcher pressure washer sand blasters

Andrew Mawson wrote:
Has anyone used the sand blaster kits available for Karcher & Kew
pressure washers, and are they any use? How the heck do you keep the
sand dry with all the water splasing everywhere!!!!

(These are the type that pick up dry sand by a venturi 'sucker' and
entrain it into the high pressure water stream.)

They are essentially 'spotting' tools as the jet width is only around 1/2"
diameter. OK for removing rust spots but very slow on large areas. Much
depends on the performance of the pressure washer, the sandblasters are all
much the same.

Two tricks that may help;

Buy the sand in plastic bags (I use Wickes block paving sand) and just cut
the corner off to insert the sand probe.

Fit the sandblaster so that the sand tube is above the water lance, not
below it. Less chance of drips getting into the sand tube.

Watch out when you shut the trigger off, don't put the lance down or let the
end touch the floor, prefereably hang it up somewhere.

What did you intend doing with one?

Wot does that mean?
