Default B&D electric Grill's plug gets too hot to touch

I have an old B&D electric Grill (10 years) that works fine, except
that the plug gets very hot in the 20-30mins of usage. So hot that I
need to use a cloth to unplug it. This is a molded kind.

Could this cause a fire? This seems to have started a few months ago.
Can this wire and plug be replaced? Or just buy a new grill?
Thanks.

do you have old wiring in the structure? maybe that could cause it? i
don't know; just wondering.
