No reason at all - they often are. But of course cost more. They have to
be 'spliced' at the suppliers.
Then I could carry the bits up there myself !
I somehow doubt it. Steels are heavy.
May be cheaper than a crane.
Cranes are actually rather good value.
I plan to do a structural loft floor, then a dormer conversion later.
