What is the flue type? Conventional, room sealed (balanced). Flue
location, exposed, between 2 buildings?

the boiler is in the airing cupboard at the top of the stairs (1st floor)
the flue goes horizontally straight out the wall behind the boiler
on the gable end of the house, no other buildings within 60 feet

Ok, balanced flue so this shouldn't happen (wind pressure on the exhaust
should be balanced by wind pressure on the inlet), pilot must be pretty
****ty for it to be susceptible, give it a a clean & make sure the
thermocouple is positioned correctly at the tip of the flame.

Thanks Fred, will do this first
Have found a supplier of the Thermocouple in Newcastle in case i need one
Thanks to all on this one.
