But, as usual, you are deflecting the point.
The 'point' of hybrid vehicles is to provide a better mpg / reduce
pollutiuon compared with a 'std' vehicle.
In some case they also offer the manufacturer experince with electric
transmissions that will pay dividends when the batteries they really need
become available.
