Trouble is guttering needs to move to take up expansion/contraction
due to temperature changes. Wouldn't silicone prevent that movement?

We aren't talking little movements either but an 1" or so over a 3M
length of guttering.


If you grease one side, then the silicone sets but does not adhere to
that side.
