Default Hot water takes a long time to flow from sink?

There are two available solutions to this problem. One is a pump that
continuosly monitors the temp at the far end and recirculates hot water
so that it will be at temp when needed. The obvious disadvantage is
that now you have a length of pipe that will constantly radiate heat
and waste energy. The pipe will need to be insulated to minimize this.

The other is similar, but is a pump that pumps water from the hot line
into the cold line near the far end when you press a button located at
the sink. It's faster than letting it run, but not instant, and
doesn't waste water, if that's a concern.
