Great idea, thanks. I see several brands, is one better than the others?
Does it wash off clean with a light solvent like varsol?

I'm restoring my Clausing 8520 mill and am in the process of stripping
the
old paint. Trying to figure a way to keep it from rusting till I
re-paint,
was thinking of coating it with LPS and then washing it off with solvent
right before the primer. A fellow mentioned this product on another
board,
is it OK to put on ways etc.? Any other ideas?

Thanks in advance...
I would use Mold Saver. It comes in a spray can and is designed to keep
molds from rusting while in storage. It has a very waxy film, but is
easily
washed off with most solvents.
Of course one of the reasons I would choose it is because I have some on
the
shelf.
