We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
drugs began to take hold. I remember "Doctor Drivel"
saying something like:

Sounds pretty defensive to me. Go on, be more tiresome.

You clearly didn't understand a word he wrote.

I'm wondering if you wrote it; that would explain it.
